My Favorite Early Spring Flower
Updated: Feb 19, 2019
One of the earlier spring flowers to pop out and make our yard look happy again is our amazing forsythia shrub! Cheerful yellow branches pop to full color marking the coming sunshine!
My absolute favorite way to display them is by using an old white pitcher that I picked up years ago at a yard sale, similar to the one above. It's tall and can accommodate the long branches that are sometimes easy to tip in smaller vases. My favorite place to look for unusual vessels for my flower arrangements are the local thrift stores & vintage markets. Pewter steins, silver tea kettles and small brass tubs all hold water well and add a quirky fun look to whatever flowers you can find blooming in your yard, or at your local Safeway.
